Patrick Stewart is an ETCP Certified Rigger – Arena, ETCP Certified Entertainment Electrician, and ETCP Recognized Trainer. His career in live events started by working in electrics in high school and as a rental technician at a theatrical supply house. After delivering spotlights to a concert in 1984, he was hooked and spent the remainder of the 1980s working local concerts, theatre, and corporate events. Eventually, he hit the road working on corporate events all over the U.S., Canada, and Mexico in the 1990s. He first became an IATSE member in 1995 with Local 137 in Springfield MO, transferred to Local 251 in Madison, WI in 2000, and is still there today.

Patrick joined ETC in 1999, first as a Field Service Engineer and has since moved into a variety of roles before his current position as an Outreach and Training Specialist. He currently serves in the U.S. Navy Reserves. His training includes a minor in Occupational Safety and Health and Aviation Safety. He also has completed OSHA 10 and 30 as well as multiple rescue certifications. Patrick still enjoys rigging for shows and spending time with anyone who wants to learn more about this amazing career of Stagecraft.
