This course covers basic fly rail use and safety including identification and use of basic counterweight arbor fly system. Flying scenery and lighting equipment is a mainstay of the entertainment industry. This course will teach the basic aspects of operating these systems.

• Discussion of parts and application of counter weighted rigging systems in the theater

• Demonstration and hands-on of basic movies: raising and lowering an empty pipe and weight-loading

• Demonstration and hands-on of flown scenery on cue for shows and rehearsals
