This course covers basic fly rail use and safety including identification and use of basic counterweight arbor fly system. Flying scenery and lighting equipment is a mainstay of the entertainment industry. This course will teach the basic aspects of operating these systems.
Discussion of parts and application of counter weighted rigging systems in the theater
Demonstration and hands-on of basic movies: raising and lowering an empty pipe and weight-loading
Demonstration and hands-on of flown scenery on cue for shows and rehearsals
