OSHA 10-Hour Construction with Focus on the Entertainment Industry in Bridgeport, CT | Local 74


This OSHA 10-Hour Construction training uses examples from the entertainment industry. It covers Introduction to OSHA; Personal Protective Equipment; Health Hazards; Electrical Safety; Slips, Trips, and Falls; Stairways and Ladders; Scaffolds; Fall Protection; Hazard Communication/Globally Harmonized System; Materials Handling, Storage, Use, and Disposal; Hand and Portable Powered Tool Safety; and Caught-in or -Between and Struck-by Hazards. Upon completion, students receive their OSHA 10-hour Construction completion card.

DATES: April 3-4 2023

DAILY TIME: 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

LOCATION: Bridgeport, CT

COST: The two-day workshop is free of charge for participants.

OSHA OUTREACH TRAINER: Bill McCord, IATSE TTF Training Specialist, has a Masters in Cinema Studies from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Fine Art in Technical Theatre from the North Carolina School of the Arts. He has over 25 years of film production experience on movies, television shows, music videos, and commercials throughout the US. He has held positions as Business Agent and Assistant Business Agent for IATSE Local 478; film production, cinema studies, and technical theatre professor at the North Carolina School of the Arts; Executive Director of Production for the Home Shopping Network; and Production Manager at Hanesbrands Theatre in Winston-Salem, NC. Bill became an OSHA Outreach Trainer in 2013, and he helped develop the IATSE TTF OSHA 10-Hour General Industry with Focus on the Entertainment Industry course with the ICAP.
