Borrow Our OSHA Trainer

We'll provide an OSHA Outreach Trainer to facilitate instruction of an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry with Focus on the Entertainment Industry class or an OSHA 10-Hour Construction with Focus on the Entertainment Industry class for IATSE workers. We cover the cost of the trainer’s travel, lodging, and meals. Other costs incurred during the implementation of this course, including space, equipment, and meals for the students while in class, are the responsibility of the employer.

Classes span two days, with each day scheduled for 8 hours, including instruction time, breaks, and a one-hour lunch break. Classes are limited to 40 students per OSHA regulations.

We expect the employer to be actively involved in the course implementation process, and you'll be responsible for all course logistics including securing a training space and equipment, course outreach to all potential TTF Beneficiaries (active IATSE members and those working under the IATSE agreements), and distributing and processing course applications.

WHAT TOPICS ARE COVERED IN THE TRAINING?

The purpose of the OSHA Outreach Training Program is to teach workers about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to recognize, abate, and prevent job-related hazards. OSHA Outreach Training Program training does not meet the training requirements contained in any OSHA standard. Some states and local jurisdictions have enacted legislation mandating OSHA Outreach Training Program training, and some employers and unions require workers to have this training to work on job sites or to fulfill their own safety training goals.
