Boom Operations
Boom Operations is day one of the “What Lies Above” Boom Operator training course. Completely lecture-based, this course is focused on preparing participants for running the set. This course concentrates on the craft itself focused on the set etiquette, interactions with other crew, responsibilities of the job, and how to be successful as a boom operator.
By the end of this course, participants will know what a sound mixer expects you to know before stepping foot on a film set in every way except how to handle the boom itself. This course directly trains attendees in what they need to know before stepping into the self-starter position of the boom operator. This course is direct training for the job and what is expected and required to be successful from day one.
