Dressing the Broadway Tour

The class is an overview of the Broadway tour from load-in to load-out and can be done virtually via Zoom or in person. It is intended for those who have backstage crew experience and wish to prepare themselves to take calls as a dresser on a Broadway tour and be an effective member of the wardrobe team.

The class includes concrete examples of what to expect as the Tour Heads guide you to organize dressing rooms, prep costumes for performance, learn your dresser track, work closely with actors, understand quick changes, and manage laundry schedules.

The purpose is to offer the less experienced dresser a glimpse into what the Broadway tour is like, so that they will be better prepared to take a tour call. For mixed locals, it is an excellent opportunity for a crew person who mostly works as a stagehand to become more familiar with wardrobe work.
