Intro to LED and Video Walls for Technicians

Intro to LED and Video Walls for Technicians is a class designed to improve the skill, efficiency, and effectiveness of technicians at major vendors and on set whose work supports LED video walls for film, television, and live entertainment.

As the motion picture and television markets rapidly adopt LED video wall technology into their productions, the need for qualified technicians is growing rapidly to support the demand. While often thought of as a specialty production technology, video walls are becoming an increasingly popular choice for productions to implement into their projects. As adaptation continues to increase, union technicians of various disciplines will need to adapt with technology to continue to support productions well into the future.

Lightscape and Monolith are uniquely suited to offer this training because all our employees and trainers are current production technicians with decades of experience in the on-stage use of equipment and the demanding requirements of executing a successful production. We have years of experience pioneering LED and lighting technology for the film industry.

The main goal of the class is to create efficiencies on set by educating technicians on burgeoning technology and effective use techniques. Instructors will also point out the standard operating protocols and specific choke points where gear must be tested and configured. With this knowledge imparted, we can expect to see an improved understanding of this specific technology and widen the technician workforce within the industry.
